Security camera and surveillance systems for Long Island businesses
Security camera installation Long Island-wide is work TDS does every week. TDS designs, installs, services and monitors video surveillance for one location or a hundred. IP and analog cameras, local, network or cloud recording, live view on your phone, and analytics that tell you what happened instead of making you scroll through footage.
Designed, installed, serviced and monitored by one team
A camera system is only as good as the person who placed the cameras, pulled the cable and configured the recorder. A TDS security camera installation covers all of it: the site survey, the design, the installation on our own structured cabling, the configuration, the training and the service afterwards. The same team runs your network, so the cameras sit on a segmented VLAN instead of your office Wi-Fi.
Design and install
Camera placement, lens choice and recorder sizing from a site survey, installed on cabling we pull and certify ourselves.
Service and support
Firmware, storage health, camera cleaning and repairs under a service agreement, with the same help desk as your phones and IT.
Monitoring and alarm verification
Video monitoring and alarm verification so a tripped sensor is checked on camera before anyone is dispatched.
Cameras placed where incidents actually happen
Every security camera installation on Long Island starts with a TDS site survey that maps entrances, loading docks, parking and cash points before a single camera is ordered, so the system records the right angle on the day it matters.
- Site survey and camera placement plan
- Indoor, outdoor and low-light cameras
- NDAA compliant equipment
- Local recording with remote viewing
Built for properties that need to see what happened
Offices and commercial buildings
Entrances, parking, loading docks and server rooms covered, with access control and intrusion tied to the same system.
Retail, restaurants and warehouses
Point-of-sale transaction monitoring, people counting and electronic fences around stock and cash.
Government, schools and municipal facilities
NDAA-compliant camera lines, documented installs and procurement through a certified NYS and Port Authority MBE.
Six parts of every TDS surveillance system
IP and analog camera systems
New IP systems or upgrades that reuse existing analog cabling, from a single door to a campus.
Local, network and cloud storage
NVR on site, recording to your network, or cloud retention sized to how long you must keep footage.
Live view on the go
Watch any camera from a phone, tablet or browser, with alerts pushed to the people who need them.
Video analytics and reporting
Motion, line crossing, loitering and counting, with reports instead of hours of playback.
Integration with intrusion and access control
Doors, alarms and cameras working as one system, so an event shows the matching video.
Video monitoring and alarm verification
Events verified on camera before dispatch, cutting false alarms and the fees that come with them.
Analytics that do the watching for you
License plate recognition
Capture plates at gates and lots, and get a notification when a listed vehicle arrives.
Object and people counting
Count people or vehicles entering the premises, by door or lane, with daily totals.
Electronic fence
A real-time alert when someone crosses into a secured area, day or night.
Facial recognition
Alerts when specific individuals enter the facility, where law and policy allow it.
POS transaction monitoring
Each register transaction overlaid on the video, so voids and refunds can be reviewed in seconds.
Custom NVR configuration
Recorder, retention, user roles and software tailored to the site, not a one-size default.
Camera lines from Hanwha Vision (Wisenet) and other manufacturers to suit the site and the budget. NDAA-compliant equipment is specified for government and federally funded projects.
Security camera installation Long Island-wide: from site survey to live cameras
1. Site survey

Camera count, lens types, recorder and storage sized to your retention, with one quote for equipment, labor and service.
3. Install and configure
Cabling, mounting, recorder setup, VLAN segmentation, user accounts and mobile access.
4. Train, service and monitor
Your staff learn the system, and TDS services it and, if you choose, monitors it.

What surveillance buyers ask first
Do you handle security camera installation Long Island-wide?
Yes. TDS installs and services camera systems across Suffolk County, Nassau County and the five boroughs, and supports multi-site clients in 42 states. The same TDS team does the site survey, cabling, mounting and commissioning, then services the system afterward.
Can you reuse our existing cameras and cabling?
Often, yes. Analog cabling can carry modern HD-over-coax cameras, and existing IP cameras can usually be brought onto a new recorder. The site survey tells us what stays and what goes.
Cloud or local recording?
Both are available. Local NVRs cost less per month and keep footage on site; cloud retention protects footage if the recorder is stolen or damaged and makes remote access simpler. Many sites run local recording with cloud backup of key cameras.
Does it work with our alarm and door access?
Yes. TDS integrates cameras with intrusion alarms and access control, so an alarm or a door event pulls up the matching video automatically.
Do you monitor the cameras?
Video monitoring and alarm verification are available as a service. An operator checks the camera when a sensor trips and dispatches only when there is something to see.
Can we use this on a government or federally funded project?
Yes. TDS specifies NDAA-compliant camera lines for those projects (the federal rule is FAR 52.204-25, which bars covered surveillance equipment from federally funded work) and is a certified NYS and Port Authority MBE. Procurement paths are on the Government page.
How is it priced?
Each system is quoted after a site survey: equipment, installation and an optional service or monitoring agreement. Camera count, storage and retention drive the number, so no figures are published.
